The signature mechanic

Choose three categories. Own every choice.

Two picks shift to rival teams and one returns to you. Choose categories you can defend—when a rival misses your category, your team can steal its full value.

Round flow

  1. 01

    Build your team

Players join with the six-character code, build 2–6 teams, and the first player on each roster becomes Captain.

  2. 02

    Choose your categories

Lock three topics. Two shift to rivals and one returns to you, so every choice carries consequence.

  3. 03

    Beat rivals in their domain

Play all four tiers in each assigned category—including topics chosen by your rivals. Then control shifts.

  4. 04

    Steal when rivals fall short

When a rival misses a category you proposed, your team can steal its full point value.

Beat rivals in their domain

Each assigned category has four rising tiers. Clear all four—including categories chosen by rivals—before control shifts.

When an answer missesSteals are worth full value
The team that proposed the category gets a short steal window after an incorrect answer or timeout. Own-return and AI categories fall back to the next team in play order. A successful steal earns the full 1–4 point value.
Host control + AISecure every question
The Host chooses what to ask, can verify generated material, and may regenerate weak questions. Verification supports the decision; the Host makes the final ruling.
If the leaders finish levelSudden death settles it
A tie opens a Hard sudden-death question from an unused or fresh category. There are no steals or challenges—the first correct answer secures the match.
When a ruling is contestedChallenge the decision
Each team has a challenge flag it can use to question a generated answer or Host ruling. The Host may consult the AI review and supporting sources, then makes the final call. A successful challenge keeps the flag; a failed one costs the question's value and retires it.

The Host controls the match

Choose questions, run timers, judge answers, manage steals, and make the final call when a fact or response needs review.

Captains lock the answer

Everyone can discuss, but only the active team's Captain submits the official answer from their device.
